Completed February 2005. New 2,350 SF three bedroom home in Mazama Washington, elevation ~2,150 feet. Design considerations involved accommodating hot dry summers and cold snowy winters. Large overhangs shade the interior from summer sun and keep snow off of the main decks in winter. A simple metal shed/gable roof designed to hold snow minimizes large snow piles and dangerous slides. Exterior design/materials required local homeowner association's approval. Contractor: Tuller Construction (Twisp, WA).
